-Llantwit 1st went down at home 17-23 to a well organized and skillful St Peters outfit.
Despite early pressure it was the visitors who pinched the first try with a counter attack from close to their own line after a Blues attack turned over possession. Within 15 minutes Llantwit were on the scoreboard with a try from Gareth Godwin converted by Scott Burrows. A penalty pushed Llantwit u to a 10-5 lead. The Rocks hit back with a second try just before half time.
St Peters opened second half scoring with a penalty then as Llantwit were pressing they intercepted and took a 18-10 lead. Injuries forced the Blues to make two changes in the back row. The boys raised their game and applied huge pressure that led to a try from a driving maul the conversion brought them back to within a point at 18-17.
The Rocks then produced a lovely handling move that led to a try wide out making it 23-17 so a bonus pint fr Llantwit and a great effort against the team that now top the league.
The youth went down 24-10 at Treharris. No Pink Rhinos game today, but M&J have full programme of games at central, 3G and Upper Boat
